At this point, I was just aimlessly clicking buttons, hoping that something would work.
Then I had to install alternate drivers of some kind. I managed to get the pblua firmware onto the nxt, which was pretty great.
I had a lego mindstorms NXT (that's the old one from before the EV3), and I decided it would be fun to use pblua.
